NJCAA Region 16 Sport Code
Men’s Basketball – Division II
- Selection of chair: Region
director selects chair.
- Selection of Coach of the Year.
The Region winner is Coach of the Year.
- Selection of Region competition
site: Westminster College is the site.
- Award policy: First place team
award. Fifteen individual awards are given to the championship team. Ten
individual plaques for All Region team.
- All Region selections: Coaches may
nominate any their own players. Voting takes place at seed meeting prior to
tournament. The top ten vote getters are selected. Ties must be broken.

Complete
statistical information must be on the NJCAA site by January 2 in order for
any player from a school to be considered for All Region honors. A letter
from the AD liaison will be sent to the coach, AD and President if not done.

Complete
statistical information must be kept up to date on the NJCAA web site.
Spring semester, when information is one week behind a letter of warning
will be sent to the coach and athletic administrator. The second offense
will elicit a letter from the AD liaison to the coach with a copy to the
athletic administrator and president. The third offense will elicit a
letter from the AD liaison to the coach, athletic administrator and
president. No players will be eligible for All Region nomination.

If a
coach or his/her representative is not present for the voting, no players
from that institution will be eligible for All Region honors.
- All-American nominations: The top
two vote getters are nominated, providing the institution supplies required
documentation.
- Code of Conduct: As appears in the
NJCAA Handbook. Addendum. No cutting of nets.
- Regional Tournament
- Seeding: Region XVI Division
II conducts seeding. All games played at Westminster. Tie breaker
criteria.

elimination.
- Site Selection: Neutral site
selected by coaches.

permitted at the tournament site.

permissible.
- Scouting information to outside
institutions: Scouting information to non-region institutions is
prohibited.
- Financial arrangements:
Tournament expenses are pro rated by games played.
- Format:

Play in game- Tuesday, 7:00pm
ii.
Semi-finals – Friday, 5:00 & 7:00pm
iii.
Finals – Saturday, 2:00pm
