Thank you for joining the Missouri Archaeological Society or for renewing your membership. In order to make your association with the organization as meaningful and personally rewarding as possible for you, the MAS Board of Directors would like to know more about your interests and your expectations of the Society.

I. Opportunities for Service Involvement:
A. Please check the standing committees, listed below, on which you would be interested in serving as a member.

B. The MAS Board of Trustees functions as a statewide network of ambassadors for the organization. The members' activities include giving talks to school groups, recruiting new members, working in the MAS booth at the State Fair, and in general supporting the goals of the Society. They serve staggered 3-year terms, with up to 25 members being elected each year at the annual spring meeting.

I am interested in being nominated for election to the Board of Trustees. I understand that the nominating committee will contact me for further information.
C. Many MAS chapters across the state sponsor interesting programs and take part in other archaaeology-related activities. Please check the chapter nearest you or the one in which you have the most interest in joining. Your name will be given to the chapter president, who will contact you with mor einformation about the chapter.

D. The Committee on Preservation of Sites sponsors Project ASSIST (Archaeological Survey Site Information Support Team). Volunteers are sought who are able to provide assistance and encouragement to persons who wish to report sites to the Archaeological Survey of Missouri but who do not feel able to complete the necessary forms.

I am interested in serving as a Project ASSIST volunteer. I have the necessary knowledge and experience. I understand that my name and contact information will be provided to the chairman of the Committee on Preservation of Sites.


II. Archaeology Interests
