Hard at Work
A Guide to Chesterfield’s Ancient History is a new
book published by the City of Chesterfield, Missouri. The book
describes the area’s ancient inhabitants, highlighting
numerous Chesterfield excavations and artifact collection. It
was written by Trustee Mark Leach and edited for cultural content
by Patti Jo Wright. The foreword is a recent interview of the
late Leonard Blake by Richard Martens. The book is 200 pages
and contains hundreds of photos and drawings. It can be purchased
for $15 at the following Chesterfield locations: City hall,
Spicers 5 & 10, Clarkson Square Pharmacy, VJ Coffee &
Tea, Annie’s Books, Old House in Hog Hollow, and McKenzie
Creek Outfitters. People from outside the area interested in
