HighEdWeb Association Missouri State Chapter

The HighEdWeb Association is in the process of establishing membership and state chapters. They have agreed to allow Missouri to be one of the first state HighEdWeb organizations to become a state chapter of the Association.  To better facilitate that move, we will restructure our organization to mirror the Association structure.

Our current officer titles from Chair, Chair-Elect, Past-Chair and Secretary to President, Vice-President, and Secretary/Treasurer. Rob Hornberger will continue as President, and Shelly Brown will act as Vice-President. Todd Kuhns, current Secretary, is stepping down from this position. We will search for another person to fill this position that represents another university in the northern or central part of Missouri.  Interested parties should submit their resume to RobHornberger@missouristate.edu.  The candidate will be selected by the President and Vice-President and will be filled as soon as possible.

The officers of the Missouri Association will act as the conference committee for all Missouri HighEdWeb conferences. The officers will assign committees as necessary.

The Missouri HighEdWeb Association will move its website location to the HighEdWeb Association’s hosting service. The domain name will most likely be, www.highedweb.org/Missouri.  This will be finalized at a later date.

We also decided to eliminate the listserv provided by More.net. We will instead use Google groups for our communication with Missouri HighEdWeb members. This group will be established once the Missouri organization has legally been established as a state chapter of the national Association.
