HELIX Conference - March 13, 2003

The Missouri Higher Education Web Developers met at the HELIX conference last Wednesday, March 19, 2003. We had representatives from at least 7 institutions, which was great!

Everyone agreed that the listserv should keep going. We're not sure how active it will be, but everyone appreciated the channel being available and the information emailed over the past several months.

We agreed that the group needed a web page where we could post resources and documents to share. I'm working on getting this site established, and I'll email everyone the address when it's available. Please send me (saraclark@missouristate.edu) any documents you'd like posted to that web site.

We also agreed that we'd like to have a annual meeting at HELIX each year. Recommendations were made to see if a web track could be added to HELIX to make the conference even more useful next year.

We also tossed around the idea of visiting each others' campuses to see new technology. In the end, we decided to include those show and tell opportunities at HELIX, unless a demo really required an on-campus visit.

Some resources were mentioned as helpful. Everyone promised to post those resources to the listserv as soon as they could.
